Content Policy

Last updated 20 June 2026

This policy sets out what may and may not be listed or uploaded on CarJio. It applies to every listing, photo, video, document and message. We keep the marketplace trustworthy by holding all content to these standards.

What you may list

CarJio is a marketplace for used cars offered for sale in India. You may list a vehicle only if you are the legal owner or are authorised by the owner to sell it, and the listing accurately reflects the vehicle’s make, model, year, condition, ownership history and price.

Media standards

  • Photos and videos must be of the actual vehicle being sold. Stock imagery, brochure renders or photos of a different car are not allowed.
  • Media must be clear, genuine and unedited in any way that misrepresents the vehicle’s condition.
  • Do not include other people’s faces, number plates of unrelated vehicles, or any personal data of third parties.

Prohibited content

The following are never permitted and will be removed:

  • Sexually explicit, nude, violent, hateful, harassing or otherwise inappropriate imagery or text.
  • Misleading, fraudulent or deliberately inaccurate listings, including fake pricing, cloned listings or undisclosed major damage.
  • Spam, duplicate listings, advertising of unrelated goods or services, or off-platform solicitation.
  • Stolen vehicles, vehicles with tampered odometers or documents, or any content that infringes someone else’s rights (see our Copyright Policy).
  • Malware, phishing links or attempts to defraud other users.

How we enforce this

Every uploaded photo and video is screened by an automated media-safety check the moment it is submitted. Media that the check positively suspects is held and hidden from buyers until a member of our team reviews it — a human always makes the final decision and never an automated system alone. Listings can be reported, moderated, suspended or removed, and repeated or serious violations can lead to a listing being rejected or an account being suspended. All moderation actions are recorded in an internal audit trail.

Reporting a problem

If you see content that breaks these rules, please tell us — see our Takedown Policy for how to report it, or email trust@carjio.com.
